Plantation Access Road — Manila, Philippines: Flexible Pavement Film-Forming Technology
Located in hot, humid, high-rainfall Manila, this plantation access-road project was treated in April 2026 with GR flexible pavement film-forming material.
In the wet tropics, ordinary gravel-and-soil roads quickly rut, wash out and turn to mud; heat and humidity also age conventional surfaces. The wet film-forming treatment forms a flexible, waterproof, load-bearing surface over the compacted base — resisting tropical heat and humidity without cracking or loosening, shedding heavy rain without being washed out, and carrying the plantation’s working and logistics vehicles.
A key benefit is time: the surface can be laid quickly in the gap between rain showers and the road can keep serving the plantation through the work, which matters when the wet-season weather window is short. The result is a longer-lasting, lower-maintenance access road suited to the wet season.
