Current Issues with Non-Standard Roads

Type one solution: Using asphalt or cement to harden the pavement.

Advantages: The road surface is smooth, wear-resistant, and long-lasting, with low routine maintenance costs.
Disadvantages: High construction costs (40–100 USD/m²), slow construction speed, and prone to cracking and damage under heavy vehicle loads, leading to high repair costs.

Type two solution: Simple gravel and sand roads, maintained frequently by water spraying.

Advantages: Uses locally sourced materials and can be built quickly with minimal investment, showing fast results; suitable for temporary and complex mining roads. It can withstand crushing by vehicles of any tonnage and is easy to repair once damaged.
Disadvantages: Dust blows up on sunny days, and the surface becomes muddy and slippery when it rains; the road is full of potholes and uneven, resulting in poor ride quality. Over 30% of vehicle breakdowns are related to this, requiring constant watering and maintenance, which leads to high upkeep costs.

Is there a third type of solution?

Type three solution: Flexible Pavement Film-Forming Technology.

After the long-term rolling of the earth-stone road, it is leveled and solidified. The road surface is treated by physical and chemical methods to form a flexible film-forming layer that is both pressure-resistant and wear-resistant, as well as waterproof and dust-suppressing.

The aggregate of the flexible film-forming layer is generally sourced locally. By adding the flexible film-forming agent invented by MiningRoad New Materials Company, a layer of composite structure membrane is quickly generated using the "wet film-forming" technology, which has low construction cost and fast speed.
